Promotion Campaigns

While promotion campaigns aren’t required, studies have proven that a program that is promoted achieves higher adoption rates than one that isn’t promoted. In all that is required in a work day, it is easy to forget the program exists, so constant reminders can improve ROI just by participation alone. Promoting a program can be as simple as a quick reminder, but we believe that a creative promotion campaign can be easily achieved and more engaging in the long run.

The Teaser
While not a necessary component, the teaser is often times the needed buzz that sets the tone months ahead of the program kick-off, which has proven to increase overall impact.

Reveal

Too often a program ends and the promotion of the program is considered over. However, adding a closing piece that announces winners, shares anecdotes and even lessons learned can be a valuable communication piece, especially if there are plans to renew the program.

Rules & Excitement Piece

A successful kick-off or program launch is only good if the participants can understand it, so the goal of an R&E is to provide all the information about how to participate in the program, reward opportunities, and all the fine print.

Deliverables

Depending on the nature of the program, deliverables (gift items, teaser pieces) can often add further excitement to the program.

Program Updates

At Atlas, we believe that updates are most successful when also featuring personal scorecards or leaderboards, and even more engaging when a winner or “rockstar” is featured.  Often times, people aren’t sure if what they are doing counts towards the program, so having these features help clarify the program with real examples. Regular updates allow participants to periodically monitor progress in achieving their goals.

Strategic Program Design

Desirable rewards

Designing an incentive or recognition program is an evolutionary process and requires continual review to make sure that goals are being met and the overall vision is achieved. Atlas takes a strategic approach that is proven to provide a positive ROI.

Aligning a desirable reward with the achievement of a goal increases the probability that the goal will be achieved. The operative word is "desirable." The more desirable the reward, the more dramatic the results.  When an incentive program fizzles, poor reward selection is often the culprit.
